The Einbeck Clock has a stately arched pediment wooden case inset with a beautiful skeleton clock. The glass to the front and sides is bevelled to indicate the quality of this piece. The wooden case has a mahogany texture with a draw in the bottom to keep the key or any other item you wish. The draw is lined with a velvet fabric to again emphasize the design quality.
The mechanical movement needs to be wound every 15 days via the rear of the clock. The glass panel at the rear lifts out to enable this (see picture below). Also the clock time can be adjusted by a knob at the rear.
As with our other clocks there is a pewter tone bell under the arched pediment which strikes on the hour via the hammer. The brass lacquered movement can be admired from all sides of the clock.
A brass pendulum swings at the rear of the clock in harmony with the turning mechanism.
The gold coloured dial has black Roman numerals and hands.
The width is 21cm
The height is 38cm
The depth is 16cm
Please note the chime can be de-activated by unclipping the spring rod from the base of the hammer, however the chime should either be left on or off otherwise damage may be caused to the mechanism.
